About UPals Program

UPals is an 8 month program culminating in a summer study experience on a university campus that is offered initially to students in the 7th grade and concludes at the end of their junior year. The UPals program provides an experiential learning environment that demystifies the college process, with the clear objective of making entry to college possible.

Mission

The mission of the UPals program is to cultivate a new generation of life long learners: to inspire and support the underserved to reach beyond the ordinary and go for the extraordinary. UPals seeks to create an opportunity where college and the American dream becomes reality.

Vision

The vision of the UPals program is that all students who complete the 5 years of study and work experience offered in the UPals program will be enrolling in college immediately following high school, and if they are not attending college is it because of a choice not predicated on a lack of knowledge or fear.
